Blood drives planned today, throughout week

Arkansas Blood Institute will conduct blood drives at the following times and locations this week:

• Today — Noon to 4 p.m., Fellowship Hall of Center Fork Baptist Church, 1101 S. Moore Road.

• Monday — 2-6 p.m., Anytime Fitness, 608 MLK Blvd., Malvern.

• Wednesday — 4-8 p.m., Family Activity Room, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 27625 Malvern Ave.

• Friday — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arkansas Emergency Medical Technician­s Associatio­n, Hot Springs Convention Center.

• Saturday — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Arkansas Emergency Medical Technician­s Associatio­n, Hot Springs Convention Center.

• Sunday, Aug. 5 — 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Bloodmobil­e at LakePointe Church, 1343 Albert Pike.

All donors get a free ticket to the Little Rock Zoo, an Adventure T-shirt, free health screening, Donor Rewards, a blood-type card and refreshmen­ts. Donors must be at least

16 years old, feel healthy and have a photo ID. Donors can make an appointmen­t by visiting http://www.arkbi.org and choosing Find A Drive, or by calling Bob Woodall at 501282-6072. The donor center at 149 Section Line Road is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Call 501-624-0666 to make an appointmen­t to give platelets, double red blood or whole blood. Donors may credit a patient at any hospital with their blood donation. All donations support patients at

44 Arkansas hospitals including Hot Springs’ two acutecare general hospitals.
