Brian David Speers, 39, of Hot Springs, passed away Aug.

7, 2018. He was born Nov. 24,

1978, in Hot Springs, to Dave and Tami (Bates) Speers. Brian worked hard in the logging industry and loved to hunt. Above all, he was a proud dad who made his son the center of his universe. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparen­ts Louie and Hazel Speers.

Loving survivors include his parents; son, Jon Wesley Speers; sister, Laci Kelley (Ryan); nephews, Kole and Dru Kelley; grandparen­ts, Haskel and Verna Bates; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at CaruthHale Funeral Home. A celebratio­n of life will take place at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday with Pastor Roger Harper officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be Mike Pitts, Clay Speers, Steve Meredith, Ty Threadgill, John Bridges and Shane Feemster.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Gary Jester, Bo Jester, Ryan Kelley, Dennis Wilson, Josh Walker, Jeremy Bates, Chance Speers, Troy Speers, T.J. Noles, Ryan and Kimi McKim, the City of Hot Springs Street Department, Bo Jester Logging Crews, No-Way Pulpwood and the Old Brushy Hunting Club.
