Tyler Hall

PEARCY — Tyler “Ty” Hall, 28, of Pearcy, Ark., received his wings Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018.

Tyler was born Oct. 25, 1989, in Little Rock, Ark., to Allen Hall and Karen Hall.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Karen; father, Allen; brothers, Shane Runyan and Jacob Hall; many other loved ones.

Tyler was so easy going and was a very compassion­ate and loving young man. He loved his family and friends, and was loved by all that knew him.

A special thanks to Mike Rader and Josh Baldwin.

“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”

Paul E. Holden

BISMARCK — Paul E. Holden, age 64, of Bismarck, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018.

Gary L. McGrew

Col. Gary L. McGrew, M.D., age 71, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2018.

He was born on July 16, 1947, in Hot Springs, the son of J.D. McGrew and Wilma Jean Wright McGrew. He was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Randy McGrew.

Dr. McGrew was a U.S. Army flight surgeon, retiring from the Army Reserves after 30 years of service while continuing as a family medicine physician until he retired in 2012.

He is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Natalie McGrew, of Fort Rucker, Ala.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tina McGrew, of Hot Springs, Trisha and Scott Murphy, of Arlington, Texas, and Tiffany and Josh Sharp, of Goobertown; his father, J.D. McGrew, of Hot Springs; six grandchild­ren, Luke McGrew, Tanner McGrew, Tristan Payne, Eden Murphy, Finnley Murphy and Willow Sharp; the mothers of his children, Mary Marshall, of Hot Springs, and Patricia Hailey, of Paragould; one sister-in-law, Georgia McGrew, of Benton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Terry Thomason and Kina and Danny Clayton, all of Hot Springs; two nephews, Derek McGrew and Kyle McGrew, both of Benton; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Celebratio­n of life services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, in the Mount Tabor Community Church with Pastor Mark Buhrow officiatin­g.

Immediatel­y following, graveside will be held with military honors in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearer­s will be Derek McGrew, Kyle McGrew, Josh Sharp, Scott Murphy, Danny Clayton and Terry Thomason.

Honorary pallbearer­s will be Jim Essman and Ronnie Rohm.

John H. Miller

TEXARKANA — John Hugh Miller, “John Boy”, 71, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Royal, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018.

A memorial service will be at First Baptist Church Wake Village, Texas, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.

Beverly Jean Ramsey, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, with her family by her side.

Beverly was born July 18, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Fred and Mary Helen Holly.

She attended and graduated from Catholic school in Arlington, Texas, and then moved to Hot Springs and earned her nursing degree. She enjoyed taking care of others her entire life.

She was a beloved wife, mom and Nana who loved cooking and making fudge for her grandkids. She was most relaxed sitting on the front porch with her husband watching and feeding the birds. Beverly and her husband were soulmates, and she was absolutely the love of his life. She had an unwavering faith in God and instilled that same faith in her family.

Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Helen Holly; her father, Ira Fred Holly Jr.; and her brother, Ira Fred Holly III.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jim Ramsey; her daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Greg Dobyns, along with their children, Taylor Richardson, Makenna Richardson, Kaylee Dobyns, Jessi Dobyns and Weston Dobyns; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jonah and Valerie Ramsey, along with their children, Aspen and Canyon; and stepson and daughter-inlaw, Justin and Courtney Ramsey and their son, Finley.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, with Father Michael Millard officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Father Michael Millard, Dr. Pawah, Dr. Sulemon and the amazing ICU staff at CHI St. Vincent.

“Mom, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for your family, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always paving the way for us. Most of all, thank you for being such an incredible influence and role model to your girls. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell, sweet momma. You were simply magnificen­t.”

Billy Lee Tucker, 85, of Hot Springs, died Sept. 6, 2018.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with funeral services following at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
