PEARCY — Lake Hamilton handed El Dorado a three-set loss Tuesday night at Wolf Arena.

The Lady Wolves (9-2, 4-1 5A-South) dominated the court in the first and second sets, 25-4, despite the slow pace throughout the matchup. El Dorado (2-6, 1-4) fell again in the third set, 25-7.

Lake Hamilton senior Morgan Fincham racked up 12 service points alone, including four aces. Not far behind, teammate Lanette Snyder acquired 11 points, including one ace.

Head coach Karen Smith instructed her players to remain consistent and fundamentally intact throughout the match. She provided quality playing time to players throughout the varsity squad.

“We play Benton on Tuesday,” said Smith. “We’ve got to keep working hard so that we are ready for them. Our goal this whole week has been hard practices so that we will be ready for that.”

Junior Savannah Brown allocated a cache of at least 10 service points, further elevating Lake Hamilton’s solid serving game for the night.

“After today, our schedule increases … we play at Texarkana Thursday,” noted Smith. “Then we turn around and play Benton, who is probably the No. 1 team right now in our conference. This was good preparation.”

Lake Hamilton is scheduled to travel to Texarkana (5-9, 2-3) today before returning home on Tuesday to host Benton (11-2, 5-0).

* The Lady Wolves’ junior varsity squad claimed a two-set sweep Tuesday, 25-3, 25-7.
