Blood drives planned throughout coming week

Arkansas Blood Institute will conduct blood drives at the following times and locations this week:

• Monday — 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Bloodmobil­e at Department of Correction, 100 Walco Road, Malvern; 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Centerpoin­t High School cafeteria stage, Amity.

• Tuesday — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Knights of Columbus/Village United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 200 Carmona, Hot Springs Village.

• Wednesday and Thursday — 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Henderson State University, Garrison Ballroom, Arkadelphi­a.

• Thursday — 12:30-4 p.m., First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 107 N. Ninth, Arkadelphi­a.

• Saturday — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Bloodmobil­e at Sam’s Club,

1368 Higdon Ferry Road.

All donors will receive a “Go Hog Wild” T-shirt, a health screening, Donor Reward Points, a blood-type card and refreshmen­ts. Donors must be at least 16 years old. To schedule a donation, visit http://www. arkbi.org and click on “Find A Drive” or call Bob Woodall at

501-282-6072. Walk-ins are always welcome. Donors may also donate whole blood, double red cells, platelets or plasma at the Donor Center, 149 Section Line Road, Suite G, by calling 501624-0666. All donations support hospitals in Arkansas and donations can be credited to a patient in any hospital.
