Landon Kyle Davis, 20, who has remained in custody since his arrest on July 14, appeared in Garland County Circuit Court and pleaded guilty to robbery, reduced from an original charge of aggravated robbery, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and to second-degree battery and was sentenced to six years,

both in connection with the 2017 assault and robbery.

He also pleaded guilty to residential burglary, reduced from an original charge of aggravated residential burglary, and was sentenced to eight years in prison, to first-degree terroristic threatening, and was sentenced to six years, and to a misdemeanor count of third-degree domestic battery and was sentenced to one year in jail, all in connection with the attack on his ex-girlfriend in June.

All the sentences were to run concurrently with each other and Davis was also ordered to pay a total of $590 in court costs. Davis was set to stand trial today on the charges from the 2017 incident and was set to be arraigned Monday on the charges from the June incident, but opted to plead guilty to all of them at Monday’s hearing.

According to the probable cause affidavit on the June incident, a local woman, 21, told police that on June 17, around

4 p.m., she arrived home at her residence in the 100 block of Hickory Street and found her ex-boyfriend, identified as Davis, who is also the father of her

1-year-old daughter, inside her apartment taking a shower.

She noted Davis knew he was not supposed to be inside her apartment so she asked him to leave and they got into an argument. She said Davis grabbed her by the throat and she slapped him on the side of the head, causing him to let go.

She said he then head-butted her on the nose twice, threw her on the bed and held her down by her arms, causing bruising to both arms. She said he eventually let her up and she grabbed her daughter who was present for the entire incident and left her apartment.

The next day, around 3:30 p.m., the woman said she returned home and had her apartment manager check to make sure Davis was not there before she went in. Shortly after the manager left, she said she heard her back window shut and Davis had entered her residence again through a window.

She said they got into an argument again and Davis told her if she called the police he would punch her in the mouth. He also said, “Watch your surroundings and watch your job because I am going to kill you. … ”

She said some neighbors intervened in the altercation and Davis eventually left. She called police who responded to the apartment and took a report. Warrants for Davis’ arrest on the burglary, criminal mischief and battery charges were issued on July 9 and he was featured as the “Wednesday Warrant” by police on social media on July 11.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on July

14, police responded again to the victim’s residence on Hickory Street to a reported disturbance and spotted Davis at the scene. He fled from officers and was able to climb on top of the LifeNet building nearby, prompting a standoff with police as he threatened to jump off the edge to the parking lot below.

After almost two hours of negotiating with him, officers were able to rush him, tackle him to the roof and take him into custody without further incident.

According to the probable cause affidavit on the robbery and battery, on Jan. 11, 2017, shortly after 3:30 p.m., police responded to a residence in the

900 block of Cones Road where a 52-year-old man was attacked by five to six young black males who took his wallet.

The victim was punched, kicked and struck with an unknown object on the right side of his head, causing a deep laceration near his right eye. All of the suspects fled in a black SUV. A witness at the residence told police the suspects were all friends with her son.

On Feb. 2, 2017, police spoke to one of the suspects after he was arrested and he said Davis was the one who first accosted the victim and then punched him. He said he and four others then joined in the attack and fled in different vehicles. He said he and Davis were in the same car and he saw Davis remove money from the victim’s wallet and then throw the wallet out the window.

Davis was arrested on May

9, 2017, and pleaded not guilty to the charges on July 10, 2017. He was released on $25,000 bond on Oct. 4, 2017. He failed to appear for a pretrial hearing on July 2, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
