Robert E. Pye

MALVERN — Robert E. Pye, age 79, of Malvern, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018.

He was born Feb. 15, 1939, in Malvern, to B.B. and Eileen (McHenry) Pye. He retired as an assistant principal at Hot Springs Middle School and attended Magnet Cove United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Petty; and nephew, Raymond Lee Petty.

He is survived by his wife of

62 years, Evelyn (Henderson) Pye; sons, Glen E. Pye (Jenny), of Magnet Cove, and Gary W. Pye, of Malvern; grandchildren, Samantha Jacobs (Dylan) and Hunter Pye; great-grandchild, Alder Theodore Jacobs due in October; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at

10 a.m. today, Sept. 22, 2018, in Regency Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Don Robinson and Jeff Ladd officiating. Burial at Magnet Cove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Glen Pye, Gary Pye, Hunter Pye, Rodney Petty, Jerry Petty, Jack Dickey, Dennis Plyler and Lance Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Woosley, D.L. Massey, Vinus Caple and Steve Rogers.
