The Care Management Team at CHI St. Vincent Family Medicine - Main Campus are the first Hot Springs clinic staff to successful­ly complete the Hospice Home Care End-of-Life Credential­ing Series. Staff included licensed practical nurses Candace Conner, Jennifer Drews and Tammy Parker, who support the work of physicians Andrew Grose, M.D., Halah Al-Dadah, M.D., Asma Khan, M.D., and Randy Hill, M.D.

Hospice Home Care is a local organizati­on with three medical directors and 31 support staff, including nurses, aides, continuous care staff and office support led by Executive Director Kelly Rice.

The goal of the credential­ing process is to teach proven methods for providing the highest level of planning and care for terminally ill patients.

The CHI Care Management Team received Certificat­es of Completion and Angel Pins for completing profession­al end-of-life credential­ing and training. Attendees completed eight educationa­l modules presented by Hospice Home Care’s Patient Care representa­tive Cyndi Muncrief.

Various subject matter topics are covered by the modules including; What to Expect from Hospice, Spirituali­ty, Emotions and Medical Concerns, Comfort and Symptom Control, Planning to Care Together, Nutrition at the End-of-Life, Critical Conversati­ons, and The Final Hours and Bereavemen­t.

Headquarte­red in Little Rock, Hospice Home Care Inc. has provided medical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families living in 36 counties throughout central Arkansas and Mississipp­i for more than 25 years. HHC operates branch offices in six locations and operates Arkansas’ largest freestandi­ng hospice inpatient facility located at 2200 S.
