Junior Wolves sweep Lois Davis at SAU

MAGNOLIA — Lake Hamilton won three of the four divisions Saturday at the Lois Davis High School-Junior High School Invitation­al at Southern Arkansas University.

The senior boys, junior girls and junior boys all won their divisions, and the senior girls finished second.

The junior Wolves scored a perfect 15, sweeping the first five places, with Ouachita taking second with 72 points.

Zeke McCain won the junior boys’ two-mile race with a time of 10:54.5. Evan Armitage (11:01.7), Ethan Smith (11:16.9), Ethan Brock (11:42.9) and Garrett Horton (11:47.6) completing the sweep for the team. Nathan Taylor (11:49.2) took seventh with Sutton Manatt (11:51.9) taking eighth as the team’s alternates.

Other Lake Hamilton runners in the race included Nathan Miller (12:08.3), Peter Kozlowski

(12:14.8), Coby Qualls (12:26.6), Kolby Brown (12:29.6), Jackson Callahan (12:41.1), Jose Manuel Lopez (13:04.8), Brantley Cogburn (13:08.2), Miguel Salazar

(13:13.5), Devin Patel (13:17.6), Jade Taliaferro (13:52.3), Bonham Taliaferro (14:00.2), Cade Martin (14:15.9), Brode Horton

(14:16.3), Blake Hecke (14:35.1), Wesley Bonner (14:40.8), Ty Harris (14:41.9), Oscar Totten (15:02.4), Riley Spaulding (15:19.8), Zeke Lackey (15:36.2), Spencer Wood

Lake Hamilton’s Colby Swecker finished third to lead the Wolves to a win in the senior boys division. Swecker crossed the line in 17:26.9 behind Octavio Tilley, of Ruston (La.), and Parkway’s Clayton Wood. Noah Smith was fourth overall with a time of 17:38.1, William Swecker seventh with a 18:16.1 finish, Carter Manatt 11th (18:27.9) and Skylar Davis 12th (18:29.9) to round out the team’s top five finishers. Neal Cole (14th, 18:38.1) and Nick Davis

(23rd, 19:13.2) were the alternate finishers.

Other Wolves included Omar Ramos (19:53.3) and J.T. Griffin

(20:29.1).

The junior Lady Wolves finished with a 22 in the win with Genoa Central finishing second with 54 points. Olivia Pielemeier won the race with a time of 12:59.3 with teammate Sheryl Rojas following with a time of 13:40.3 for second place. MacKenzie Cronin finished fourth overall with a time of 13:58.6, and Kiana Arcos finished just ahead of teammate Chloe Carson for eighth and ninth with times of 14:04.7. Aubrey Jennings (14:12.9) and Adrina Rodriguez (14:19.0) were the team’s alternates.

(16:53.5), Darian Rhodes (16:57.2), Laura Ramos (17:20.8), Darby Fisk

(17:40.2), Alyssa Morgan (17:48.8), Emma Gruska (17:59.8), Presley Mitchell (18:00.0), Kaniyah Williams (18:11.0), Rylee Guzman

(18:27.3), Yadra Morales (18:33.3), Alexis Rowland (5:35.6), Kalyn Reed (19:34.8) and Brooke Sadowski (22:17.1).

Parkway High School posted a

31 while Lake Hamilton had 52 in the senior girls race.

Meighan Mears was the top finisher for the Lady Wolves, finishing sixth with a time of 21:59.6. Maylin Reyes clocked a 22:56.9 for ninth overall, Jessica Jennings was

14th with a time of 23:46.8, Olivia Caraway finished in 25:23.6 for

24th overall and Brittany Borger rounded out the team’s scoring with a 33rd place finish in 26:22.7. Cindy Ramos (27:49.0) was the other finisher for Lake Hamilton.
