Wayne Bonneville

Wayne Bonneville, 68, of Hot Springs, passed away Oct. 2, 2018.

He was born in Duluth, Minn., to the late Louis and Carmen Bonneville.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Bonneville; and sisters, Frances Hubert and Wanda Bonneville.

Survivors include sons, Chris Chambers, Kevin Chambers and Daniel Leach; daughters, Rachel Leach, Kassi (Craig) Leach Hawthorne; siblings, Robbie (Eileen), Linda Grotheer, Jackie (Leonard) Sheldon, Jill (Chris Gambling) Bonneville, Patrick, Michael (Janice) and Winnie Bonneville; sister-in-law; Kathy Bonneville; and several grandchild­ren.

In one word, Wayne was fun, he liked staying busy, he had lots of hobbies and was a devoted brother.

There will be a celebratio­n of life service for Wayne at 3 p.m. Friday in the Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel for family and friends to gather and share memories with Winnie Bonneville as moderator.

Novella Carter

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Novella Carter, 84, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died Oct. 6, 2018.

She was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Blossom, Texas, to the late Acy and Lilly (Thompson) Luttrell. Novella was a faithful pastor’s wife and fun-loving mother. She was loved by many. She manifested a spirit of selflessne­ss and loved her family unconditio­nally.

Loving survivors include her husband of 68 wonderful years, Norman Carter; son, Guy Carter (Gina); daughters, Norma Jean Carter Arey and “Rockie” Carter Evans (Britt); grandchild­ren, Curt Arey (Erica), Carter Natarajan (Raj), Shannon Rucker (Garrett), Anna Hudson (Chad) and Tiffany Parker (Todd); great-grandchild­ren, Wyatt and Nolan Arey, Ren, Jude, Bodhi and Violet Nataranjan, Kaitland Foster, Abagail Novella Parker, Jackson Criner, and Amelia and Strat Rucker; and great-greatgrand­child, Parker Foster.

A celebratio­n of Novella’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Village United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, Ark.

Don A. Joyce Sr.

Don Anthony Joyce Sr., 73, passed away on Sept. 29, 2018, in Little Rock, following a brief but valiant battle with cancer.

A memorial Mass will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at St. John’s Catholic Church with Father YC officiatin­g.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

Stirl M. Lingo

BATH, Maine — Stirl M. Lingo, 77, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away in Bath, Maine, on Oct. 6, 2018.

Tony L. Noles

Tony Lewis Noles, 59, of Hot Springs, passed away Oct. 6, 2018.

He was born April 12, 1959, in Hot Springs, to Herman and Flossie Noles.

He is predecease­d by his parents; sisters, Mary Lee Phillips and Laverne Eddinger; brothers, Billy, Jere and Ranzy Noles; and brother-in-law, Van Eddinger.

Loving survivors include brothers, Randy “Whimp” Noles and Dewey Noles; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Tony had a passion for fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Tabor Cemetery, Buckville. Brother Teddy Hill will officiate.

Paul S. Reece

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Paul Steven Reece, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., age 66, departed this life to be with his Lord Sept. 19, 2018.

Paul, a graduate of the class of “70” Lamar High School, also attended Arkansas Tech University, where he was a cheerleade­r. Paul was also a Golden Gloves state boxing champion. His career included serving as a police officer, a paramedic and a fireman in Hot Springs Village, were he was captain and retired after 27 years of service. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed bird hunting and especially loved spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia Nation Reece, of the home; daughters, Christena Reece (Carlton Barrett), of Shreveport, La., and Veronica (Perry) O’Brien, of Lexington, Ky.; and one grandchild, Naomi Barrett, of Shreveport. He is also survived by sisters, Susan Synoground, of Lamar, Lesa (Vinai) Kamolsiri, of Fort Smith, Elaine (Jay) Hodges, of Bella Vista; and one brother, Louis (Nancy) Reece, of Dover, Ark.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Smith and Ercil Reece of Ozone, and by four brothers, Gary, Lyndon, Mike and Don Reece.

The funeral will be held at Jessievill­e Baptist Church, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20,

Joan Roberts

ROYAL — Joan Roberts, 73, of Royal, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle.

Interment is in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joe Short

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Joe Short, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Riesel, Texas, passed away on Sept. 14, 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Sally; and his daughter; Tracy (Chris Keathley) Short.

Fredrick A. Tadlock

Fredrick Austin Tadlock passed away on Oct. 7, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Clemie (Sofge) Tadlock, as well as his children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

His service was held Oct. 10, 2018; burial in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Oct.

15, 2018.

Thomas A. Whitworth

JUNCTION CITY — Rev. Thomas A. Whitworth, 75, of Junction City, Ark., died on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at Life Touch Hospice’s John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Born on July 8, 1943, in Dallas, Texas; Tom was the son of Roy T. and Ophelia Roberts Whitworth. Tom was active in SAAC, appearing in several production­s, and The Civitan Club. Tom served as pastor of The First Christian Church in El Dorado for several years.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Daniel W. Whitworth, and a great-grandson, Daniel Isaac Whitworth.

Survivors are his wife of 17 years, Dr. Rebecca A. Luper; children are Erin D. Whitwort, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Sean M. Whitworth (April), of Junction City, Ark., Jessica A. McCall, of Little Rock, Ark., Wyatt Whitworth and Dakota Baker (Kelli), both of Hot Springs, Ark.; along with seven grandchild­ren, Michael Whitworth, Danelle Hill, Autumn Morgan, Lydia Whitworth, Bridget McCall, Lucas and Liam Baker; and two great-grandchild­ren, Audrey and Mikaela Whitworth.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. today, Oct. 10, 2018, at Young’s Funeral Directors with services at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Bob Parks and Rev. Bob Inmon officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Colony Cemetery in Alba, Texas, at 4 p.m. today.
