Lakeview Assembly of God celebrates 50th
Lakeview Assembly of God,

Ave., will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sunday with new Pastors
Matt and Emily Stevenson.
Photographs featuring 50 years of memories will be on display, and the “Signs of Praise” team will be ministering. Former Pastors Don and Carol Hutchings from Fort Smith will bring the morning’s message at 10:30 a.m.
Pastoral appreciation celebration and welcome
Historic Visitor’s Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 319 Church St., will present the first pastoral appreciation celebration and welcome for the Rev. Charlene N. Boone on Sunday.
The appreciation and welcome service, “Leadership Worth Following,” by the Rev. Gregory
E. Guinn, associate minister, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday. At 11 a.m. the speaker will be Exhorter Clara Puckett.
Boone is a native of Harford County, Md., and a graduate of Hampton University, Hampton, Va.
She was licensed to preach in February 1983 at St. James AME Church, Havre de Grace, Md., and ordained an itinerant deacon in 1986. The same year, she began her pastoral career, pastoring in AME Churches in Tennessee and Kentucky.
Prior to being appointed to Visitor’s Chapel AME, she was pastor of Greater Ward Chapel AME Church in Pine Bluff. Boone has two children.
Bismarck Pentecostal Church hosts Crabb Sunday
BISMARCK — Bismarck Pentecostal Church is having special Sunday services this weekend featuring Gerald Crabb from
Ripley, Miss. The morning service begins at 10 a.m. and the evening service begins at 6 p.m.
Crabb has won multiple songwriter of the year awards, including five Dove Awards and the prestigious BMI Christian songwriter and BMI publisher of the year awards. For nine consecutive years, he was selected by the GMA to perform at the Songwriters’ Showcase with other writers such as Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Nicole C. Mullen, Bart Mallard, Kirk Franklin, Mac Powell, Mark Hall, and many others.
The singer, songwriter, and preacher has had the opportunity to appear on the Gaither Videos, TBN, “The 700 Club,” the INSP, and CMT. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Colorado, and The Brooklyn Tabernacle.

Clark to be guest speaker at St. Phillips
St. Phillips Church of God In Christ will hold its Evangelistic Worship Service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at 237 Walnut St.
Apostle Jessie Clark, Williams Temple COGIC, Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.
