Gladys M.E. Noles
Gladys was born May 30, 1926, to the late Arnold and Savannah Pate in Buckville, Ark. She was married to the late, Henry Lee Noles, and together they raised seven children and one grandson. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She entered Heaven’s gates on Oct. 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Skip Bo and Dominos. She loved to quilt, crochet, and do arts and crafts. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved to camp, fish, and enjoyed deer camp and field trials. She loved to travel with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Noles, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, two daughters, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her two sons, Ronny (Wanda) Noles and Randy (Sue) Noles, all of Jessieville, Ark.; three daughters, Carolyn (Bobby) Welch, of Ward, Ark., Patsy (Hollis) Johnson, of Clinton, Ark., Sheila (Billy) Dobbs. of Benton, Ark.; and an adopted daughter, Rosie (Phillip) Singleton, of Little Rock, Ark. She is also survived by two sisters, Jewel Stogsdill and Vera (Jimmy) Scott, of Jessieville, along with a son-in-law, David “Elgene” Robertson, of Jessieville, Ark. The loves of her life were her grandchildren and she leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Interment will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Her two sons, Ronny and Randy, will officiate the service and the pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Sam Robertson, Wayne Welch, Jason Welch, Todd Noles, Ryan Noles, Sean O’Keane, Tonya Robertson, Ronda Foley, Deanna Jones and Phillip Singleton. Junior pallbearers are Morgan and Cameron Noles.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Dierksen Hospice, members of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Darrell and Wilma Oates, Karen and Lannie Murders, Ricky and Cherkenia Hood
