Arvest makes $10k donation to film fest
The Arvest Foundation presented the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute with a donation of $10,000 on Monday.
According to a news release, during an open house meet-and-greet for existing and prospective customers the donation was made to support the 27th Annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.
The HSDFF continues through Saturday and offers a mix of documentary features and shorts, both domestic and international, as well as educational panels and workshops.
“The film festival has supported the Hot Springs economy and culture, strengthens our community and has
created opportunities for growth in Hot Springs for 27 years,” said Don Gooch, community bank president of Arvest Bank in southwest Arkansas. “Arvest takes pride in living up to its name as a community bank and we want to show our support for local organizations that make a difference for so many people here.”
On Oct. 17, Jennali Cybulski, vice president and marketing manager for Arvest Bank in northeast, central and southwest Arkansas, told The Sentinel-Record that the Arvest Foundation looks for opportunities to support its local communities and that the film festival “supports the Hot Springs economy and culture, strengthens our community and creates opportunities for growth in Hot Springs,” similar to that mission.
