Man charged with indecent exposure
A Hot Springs man was arrested Friday after witnesses, including a 13-year-old girl, allegedly saw him standing in the doorway of a chicken coop nude and masturbating.
Gregory Allen Ashworth, 41, who lists a Belvedere Oaks Circle address, was taken into custody in the 4300 block of Park Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. and charged with a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure, punishable by up to one year in jail.
Ashworth, who also had warrants for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear, was being held on bonds totaling $3,920 and appeared Monday in Garland County District Court.
According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, Garland County sheriff’s Cpl. Jon Lane was dispatched to the 3800 block of Park regarding a nude white male in the doorway of a chicken coop.
Upon arrival, he made contact with a man matching the description, identified as Ashworth, who was taken into custody on the warrants.
Lane then spoke to the person who called who stated he had seen Ashworth in the doorway of the coop across the street masturbating. He noted both he and his 13-year-old daughter witnessed the incident.
In a spontaneous statement to Lane, Ashworth allegedly said, “I wasn’t masturbating, I was (urinating) and I don’t give a (expletive) about that (expletive) walking her dog, she’s a (expletive) liar.”
Based on the statements of the two witnesses and Ashworth, Lane arrested Ashworth on the exposure charge as well as the warrants.
