VFW Auxiliary to place flags at Greenwood Cemetery Saturday

-

The Auxiliary to VFW 2278 will be placing American flags for all veterans in Greenwood Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday.

“All members are encouraged to help place American flags at each grave site of a veteran. Everyone that cares about our veterans is invited to help place flags. Just show up and join Lise’ Huckaby, Americanism chairman, at the main entrance to the Cemetery at 702 Greenwood,” a news release said. “Greenwood is growing and each year we have new veterans that need a flag.”

Contributions may be made to the Americanism Program by calling Auxiliary Treasurer Karlene Beams at 501-762-2001 for information on how to contribute, or for more information about this project. “This is a great opportunity to be of service and show your gratitude for the dedication of our great veterans. If you have a youth group looking for a project this is a perfect opportunity,” the release said.
