Garvan Gardens presents Arkansas Pastel Society art exhibit during Nov.
An art exhibit by the Arkansas Pastel Society is being presented during the month of November at Garvan Woodland Gardens.
Art Exhibits in the Magnolia Room are free and open to the public.
Since its inception in 2004, the Arkansas Pastel Society has been working to promote pastel as an art medium and to provide networking opportunities for its membership, a news release said. The society is affiliated with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
Any pastel painters are welcome to join and meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month, excluding January, February and July. Visit http://www.arkansaspastelsociety.com for more information.
The widely varied group will exhibit works of luminescent pastels in landscapes, still lifes, and flora and fauna. Native subjects as well as inspiration gleaned from worldwide travel will be displayed.
