William D. Johnson Jr.
William D. “Bill” Johnson Jr., age 48, of Hot Springs, died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 5, 2018.
He was born on June 9, 1970, in Hope, the son of William Johnson Sr. and Linda Austin Johnson. In August 1996, he married Michelle Ashley. He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs. He attended Garland County Community College on a tennis scholarship and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelors degree of professional studies. Bill was also an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Johnson; his mother, Linda Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Josh Miller; two grandchildren, Ethan Sheets and Lillian Miller; one sister, Rebecca Johnson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delbert and Mary Ashley, all of Hot Springs; his sister-in-law, Sandy Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla.; two nieces; and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at First Baptist Church with Brother John McCallum and Brother Mike Pounders officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
