HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Billy (Bill) Wayne Antley, 70, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018.

He was born in Lake Wales, Fla., to William Hubert Antley and Doshie Grace Hughes Antley. He was preceded in death by his father, William; mother, Grace McCracken; and son, William Thomas Antley.

Bill grew up in Florida and attended Winter Haven H.S. before joining the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, he worked in the electronic­s field in Lakeland, Fla., before moving to Nebraska with his wife, Marilyn. He retired in 2010 after working as a projects manager in the biomedical field at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

In 2014, Bill and Marilyn retired to Hot Springs Village, Ark., where Bill enjoyed fishing, gardening and stargazing. The most important thing in Bill’s life was his family and close friends.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn Antley, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; daughters Belinda Gootgeld, Erin Payne (Jim) and Marinda Antley, of Omaha, Neb., Katelin Antley, of Conway, Ark.; brother, Charles Antley, of Lake Wales, Fla.; sister, Judy Tullar, of Clyde, N.C.; stepfather, Tom McCracken, of Winter Haven, Fla.; seven grandchild­ren, two great-grandchild­ren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill’s memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Village United Methodist Church at 200 Carmona Road, Hot Springs Village, with Pastor Chris Hemund officiatin­g. Bill’s ashes will rest at the Omaha National Cemetery in Sarpy County, Neb.
