Hot Springs Alumnae Chapter of SAI to present ‘Home for the Holidays’
The Hot Springs Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, the international Music Fraternity for Women, will present its annual holiday luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Hot Springs Country Club.
Musical performances by the Hot Springs Strings and the Hot Springs Flute Ensemble will begin at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will be at noon and Cantate, the acclaimed SAI women’s vocal ensemble, will present its program while guests enjoy their hearty lunch.
As part of the Home for the Holidays theme, the singers will be dressed in “unusual” Christmas sweaters and those attending are also encouraged to consider wearing that “special” sweater from the back of the closet, a news release said.
Guests will enjoy such songs as “Carol of the Bells,” “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “The Christmas Song” (“Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”).
All proceeds from the luncheon will be used to benefit local music programs. Past recipients include the Hot Springs Flute Ensemble, the Hot Springs Music Festival, National Park College, the Caring Place, First Step, and other area schools such as Mountain Pine, Lakeside, and Hot Springs.
Tickets for this event are
