First Presbyterian Church holds free Thanksgiving Day dinner
First Presbyterian Church will offer a free Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner, with all the fixings, will be served in the Fellowship Hall at 213 Whittington Ave. Any leftovers will be distributed to take home at 1 p.m.
Woodridge Church of Christ offers Thanksgiving meal today
Woodridge Street Church of Christ, 133 Woodridge, will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today.

Bismarck Pentecostal Church offers special music service
BISMARCK — Bismarck Pentecostal Church, 2159 Arlie
Moore Road, will host a special service of music ministry with Laverne and Edith
Tripp from Gallatin,
Tenn., beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday.
LaVerne Tripp was formerly a member of the world-famous Blue Ridge Quartet and wrote and recorded three consecutive No. 1 songs, “I Know,” “That Day Is Almost Here” and “After Calvary.” He was nominated eight times for a Dove Award, and at the pinnacle of the group’s success surrendered his will and his life to the care of God and launched out to fulfill God’s destiny for his life as an evangelist.
Tripp’s song, “We’ve Got The Power,” has, and is continuing to be sung by the church around the world. In 2001, CCMA presented him with the Living Legend Award at the Ryman Auditorium, in Nashville, Tenn. CCMA also awarded him for his No. 1 song, “A Bible And A Bus Ticket Home,” from the project, “We Will Rise Above It All.”

Holyghost to celebrate annual Family & Friends Day Sunday

Nazarene Baptist Church celebrates anniversary Sunday
Nazarene Baptist Church will hold its 80th church anniversary Sunday at 11 a.m.
The church was originated in 1938 by the Rev. Wilkins. Under the leadership of James F. Lambert Sr., it was moved to 220 Silver St. in 1978. The guest speaker is Minister Demond Newburn. All are welcome.
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist to hold Brotherhood, Men’s Day
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 120 Blake St., will hold its annual Brotherhood & Men’s Day at 3 p.m. Sunday under the direction of their pastor, the Rev. W.L. Robinson.

He will share stories from his new book, “The Highest Good Handbook,” and during the second half he will lead an Intenders Circle so that everyone has the opportunity to share their intentions and gratitudes.
