The Muses ‘Voices of Angels’ set for Dec. 7-9
The Muses Project will present three area performances of its 13th annual “Voices of Angels” sacred classical Christmas concert in December.
The performances will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village;
6 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Muses Cultural Arts Center,
428 Orange St.; and 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at Anthony Chapel in Garvan Woodland Gardens.
“Staying true to its mission to preserve the classical arts through performance and education, the Muses Project’s ‘Voices of Angels’ concert takes the listener through 400 years of poetic and sacred musical inspiration; from traditional to contemporary and meditative to festive,” a news release said.
Featuring the lead voices of a professional female quartet, sopranos Ruth’e Korelitz, Katy Yerina Brockinton, mezzo-soprano Erica Schoelkopf, and the Muses’ general director, soprano Deleen Davidson, along with a 24-voiced mixed ensemble, professional instrumentalists and dancers, “this highly entertaining concert is designed to be an elegant, celestial, festive and celebratory musical experience that transports audiences from thoughts inundated with Christmas lists and schedules to a peaceful state where one can slow down and enjoy the moment,” the release said.

Student night is Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Muses Cultural Arts Center. All artists, students, and teachers are admitted at no charge, but must call the Muses to register.
