How you can help

- Janie Smith Helping Others at Jackson House

This time of year our thoughts turn to being grateful for what we have and sharing with others. A great way to help us to donate to charities that reflect our interests or passion. Jackson House helps thousands every year with food, clothing, and with many other needs. Our ability to do this comes from your giving hearts. The need is great and your help is crucial!

Recently a concerned caller alerted us to a situation with an 83-year-old veteran who was completely out of food living in substandard housing. Delivery of the food was required to a nearly inaccessible location. A volunteer made the delivery of the food that restaurants, churches and people had donated. The love of our community was delivered that day.

Donations of food, clothes, blankets, household items, all are needed. Monetary donations allow the purchase of groceries, lunch program foods, and provide the many varied services offered and desperately needed by those in crisis. Every dollar counts. Every day we see serious situations needing your help. Many are life and death. Our ability to help depends on you. Be a part of a solution in your community. Donate today. People are counting on your love and generosity.

Donations may be sent to 705 Malvern Ave., Hot Springs, 71901, or visit our website at http:// www.jacksonhouse. org. We are “A Place to Care And Be Cared For!”
