LONSDALE — Juanita Fern Taylor Coburn, age 72, of Lonsdale, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018.

She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Columbus, Ga. Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Michelle Coburn; granddaugh­ter, Samantha Danielle Collier; parents, Edmond C. Taylor Sr. and Vera Ann Wilson Taylor, and two brothers, Edmond C. Taylor Jr. and James David Taylor, all of Lonsdale.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sammye and Danny Collier, of Lonsdale; granddaugh­ter, Haley A. Collier, of Lonsdale; grandson and wife, Cody and Elizabeth Collier, of Hot Springs; stepdaught­er and stepsonin-law, Tracy and Paul Fournier, of Haskell; two stepgrandd­aughters, Shara and Samantha Fournier, of Haskell; stepgrands­on, Channing Fournier, of Haskell; sister-in-law, Debbie Taylor, of Benton; brothers, Phillip Taylor and Raymond Taylor, of Lonsdale; four great-stepgrands­ons; two great-stepgrandd­aughters of Haskell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Juanita graduated high school from Fountain Lake in 1964. She later worked in the banking business for many years, going on to work for the Benton Chamber of Commerce. This would be a job that provided many years of enjoyment. She often worked an extra job to support herself and Sammye.

When Sammye and Danny found out their daughter Samantha had leukemia, Juanita was there on a daily basis doing whatever needed done for Sammye. She helped with the housework, ran errands, took Cody wherever needed, more than anything, she helped them try to maintain a normal life for him. The two of them were thick as thieves, but she loved all her grandkids fiercely.

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Ashby Funeral Home with memorial services beginning at 3 p.m.
