- FROM STAFF REPORTS

FAYETTEVILLE — Classes are done for the semester, but the Arkansas women’s basketball team will continue to test itself with three games in five days this week.

The Razorbacks (7-3), of the Southeastern Conference, will open the stretch by hosting Prairie View A&M (3-4) from the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Their game will tip at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Arkansas will remain at home on Tuesday to host Nebraska (4-5), from the Big Ten Conference, at 7 p.m. The Prairie View and Nebraska games are scheduled to be broadcast on the SEC Network+ streaming service.

The Razorbacks will close the stretch with a road trip to Tulsa (5-5) on Thursday. They will be off for 10 days through the holiday break before hosting another SWAC opponent, Jackson State (2-5), at 2 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena for their final non-conference game of the regular season.

The Panthers are the first order of business and they are in the midst of a non-conference schedule that includes six consecutive road contests. Prairie View has lost its last two games, but Shala Dobbins and Dominique Newman average 12.7 and 11.1 points per game, respectively.

Arkansas counters with a balanced attack with three players who average double figures.

Redshirt sophomore Chelsea Dungee paces the team with 17.1 points per game. The Sapulpa, Okla., native redshirted last season after transferring from Oklahoma.

Senior guard Malica Monk, a North Little Rock alum, and junior guard Alexis Tolefree follow at 13.3 and 13 points per game, respectively. Tolefree began her collegiate career in her hometown at Central Arkansas in Conway before playing last season at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi.

The Razorbacks also have scoring options in junior guard Jailyn Mason, redshirt sophomore guard A’Tyanna Gaulden, senior forward Bailey Zimmerman and senior guard Raven Northcross-Baker, of Malvern. Northcross-Baker averaged 19.5 minutes per game last season off of the bench for coach Mike Neighbors, but she now ranks 10th on the team at 7.1 minutes per game.

Junior post player Kiara Williams, out of Little Rock Central, leads the Razorbacks with 8.4 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Taylah Thomas contributes 6.1 rebounds per game.
