Vegetarian Supper Club meets Monday

Dr. Russ Newman, a holistic doctor of preventive medicine, will be the featured guest at the next meeting of the Vegetarian Supper Club at

6:30 p.m. Monday.

Newman is a certified lymphologi­st who has taught natural healing, energy medicine, and sustainabl­e living in a toxic world for more than 20 years, helping thousands of people to maintain a pain-free lifestyle and enjoy optimal health, a news release said.

“There is no greater calling in the world than to save lives,” Newman said. The release said he will discuss the difference between GMO foods, convention­al food, and certified organic food. His presentati­on will also feature the hydration crisis, the principles for structurin­g the water throughout the body, and the cause and effect of dehydratio­n at the cellular level. The presentati­on will also include hands-on techniques for removing pain from the body. There will be a question-and-answer period at the close of the session.

The Supper Club meets in the fellowship hall at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 401 Weston Road, at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday evening each month. Attendees should bring a pen or pencil and check in 15 minutes early to pick up their informatio­n pack.

Attendees are welcome to bring a vegetarian dish of their choice with the recipe and a self-addressed envelope to receive the recipe collection for the evening. The potluck supper will be served prior to the presentati­on. There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome.
