Ariel Rebekah Galster passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, after a lifelong struggle with lupus.

She was born on March

22, 1982, in Seoul, Korea. At 9 months old, she joined her forever family in Pine Bluff, Ark., becoming the youngest sibling of the “The Galster Gang.”

Ariel loved her horse, Irish Shannon, and was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Associatio­n, competing in many horse shows in Arkansas and the surroundin­g states. She graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in Hot Springs. She received her CNA license, worked as an EMT, was a fashion model and served as a flight attendant for several years. She was also a vocal advocate for lupus education and research.

Ariel is survived by her son, Patrick Kahne Dougherty, of Beebe, Ark.; mother, Vali Talbot, of New Orleans; father, Mike Galster, of Scott, Ark.; three brothers, Gabe Galster, Jordan Galster, of Hot Springs, and Caleb Galster, of Texarkana, Ark.; sister, Christina Fox, of San Antonio, Texas; grandparen­ts, Von Talbot, of Hot Springs, Beverly Drew, of Camarillo, Calif., and Robert Galster, of Jacksonvil­le, Ark.; her faithful service dog, Dash.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hot Springs. Visitation will be at noon and Mass at 1 p.m.

The family asks that memorials be sent to the Lupus Foundation of Arkansas, 220 Mockingbir­d, Hot Springs, AR 70913.

Cremation arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas, 501313-5431.
