The Sentinel-Record

Morning Line

- BY JEFF KRUPSAW

Sunday, Feb. 10 entries First race, 1:30 p.m.: Purse $23,000, Arkansas-bred 4-yearolds and up who have started for a claiming price of

$8,000 or less in 2018, starter allowance, six furlongs.

8. Jack Be Quick (Guerrero/Turner) 10-1, 119

5. Rock City Roadhog (Loveberry/Westermann) 6-1, 117

3. Arch Revenge (Riquelme/G. Garcia) 8-1, 117

2. Meanbone (Cabrera/Moquett) 4-1, 117

1. Hot Blooded Song (Canchari/T. Martin) 12-1, 117

4. Promising Shoes (Wethey/Villafranco) 7-2, 117

6. Haus (Felix/T. Martin) 9-2, 117

7. Strawn’s Cash (Vazquez/Cates) 3-1, 117 Jack Be Quick, bred in Arkansas and frequently raced in Louisiana, gets regular rider Jose Guerrero. Rock City

Roadhog has a 5-3-2 record from 16 Oaklawn starts before first local race in two years. Arch Revenge, claimed twice last year by Genaro Garcia, beat Arkansas-breds opening weekend in 2018. Meanbone should benefit from lackluster effort Feb. 3. Second race, 1:57 p.m.: Purse $21,000, 3-year-olds and up, non-winners of three races, claiming $10,000, six furlongs.

9 (post 8). Out of the Office (Borel/Wiggins) 8-1, 119

10 (post 9). Hot Item (Eramia/Milligan) 4-1, 119

5 (post 5). Calandave (Court/Barkley) 8-1, 119

7 (post 7). Lead Astray (Cabrera/C. Hartman) 9-2, 119

1 (post 1). Three Time Charmer (Lara/Petalino) 15-1,

xx-112

2 (post 2). Ship Stalker (Johnson/Hartlage) 12-1, 119

3 (post 3). Sergios Limoncello (Wethey/Young)15-1, 121

4 (post 4). Surely You Jest (I. Rodriguez/Lozano) 15-1, 119

6 (post 6). State of Charm (Richard/Cannon) 20-1, 119 Out of the Office moves up in claiming price but faces softer rivals in this NW3L condition. Calvin Borel keeps mount for Lon Wiggins. Hot Item broke poorly and rushed into contention at this level. Eramia-Milligan connection has produced nice payoffs early in season.

Calandave has more speed than he showed last time at Turfway. Lead Astray’s last win came at extended sprint distance of seven furlongs at Churchill. Third race, 2:25 p.m.: Purse $42,000, 3-year-olds, claiming

$40,000-$30,000, six furlongs.

7. Sambucca (Vazquez/Margolis) 3-1, 118

6. News Flash (Cohen/McKnight) 7-2, 118

5. Deano (Elliott/C. Hartman) 2-1, 118

4. Moro Texas (W. De La Cruz/McBride) 9-2, 115 1. Trask (Lara/Morse) 12-1, xx-108

2. 3. Bear Intrysting Trappe (Canchari/Williamson) (Borel/Compton) 15-1, 20-1, 118 118

8. Collection (Riquelme/Morse) 8-1, 115 Sambucca won back-to-back races in Kentucky last fall, the second coming at this class level. Trainer Steve Margolis is 4 for 25 with shippers to Oaklawn since start of

2014 seasson. News Flash went to Norm McKnight for

$40,000 from second-place finish. Outrun going a mile, Deano returns to preferred distance and class level for Chris Hartman. Moro Texas is one of two race starters with more than one victory, beating “non-winners of two” Dec. 14. Fourth race, 2:52 p.m.: Purse $24,000, 3-year-olds and up, non-winners of two races, claiming $20,000-$16,000,

1 1/16 miles.

7. Lucky Britches (Santana/Matthews) 4-1, 124

5. Dedicated (Vazquez/Stuart) 6-1, 124

4. Giant Pulpit (Cohen/McKnight) 3-1, 124

1. Flight Risk (Eramia/Shorter) 7-2, 124

2. Intimidating (I. Rodriguez/Loy) 10-1, 124

3. Home Run Trick (W. De La Cruz/B. Martin) 10-1, 124

6. Dahik (Cabrera/C. Hartman) 8-1, 124

8. Derecho Warrior (Wethey/Young) 9-2, 124 Lucky Britches, maiden winner for $40,000 going seven furlongs at Churchill, drops notch off $30,000 claim Nov.

2 by Randy Matthews. Dedicated, a Midshipman gelding, stretches out after even effort Feb. 2 at this track and class level. Giant Pulpit is one of Norm McKnight’s early-season winners. Flight Risk has lacked winning punch though almost always in hunt at this level and distance. Fifth race, 3:19 p.m.: Purse $40,000, maiden 3-year-olds, claiming $50,000, six furlongs.

7. One Man Party (Santana/Asmussen) 2-1, 120

5. Travolta (Cohen/McKnight) 9-2, 120

2. Flat Out Beautiful (Valdivia/Stall) 5-2, 120

6. Galahad Kid (Canchari/DiVito) 7-2, 120

1. Ikon Who (McMahon/Dixon) 10-1, 115

3. Shell Fire (Eramia/D.K. Von Hemel) 10-1, 120

4. Barefootbootleggger (Sanjur/Haran) 12-1, 120 One Man Party shows only three works for career debut, which isn’t normal operating procedure for Steve Asmussen, so we’re going to assume this son of Shackleford has been working somewhere. Hall of Famer has won won seven of past 17 first-time starters at Oaklawn since start of 2018 season, going six for 14 in sprints. Trainer Norm McKnight doubles class level for Travolta, claimed for $25,000 from second career start Dec. 2 at

Woodbine. Not that it means anything but Equibase chart caller used word “flew” to describe Travolta’s rush from sixth to second in final sixteenth of mile. Flat Out Beautiful cuts back to six furlongs, distance of second-place finish when debuting for $75,000 at Churchill in November. Al Stall is four for eight in Oaklawn sprints since start of 2018. Galahad Kid ran second against lesser Dec. 29 at Hawthorne but bears watching here against maiden claimers. Sixth race, 3:46 p.m.: Purse $20,000, 4-year-olds and up, non-winners of a race since Aug. 10, *waiver claiming

$6,250, 5 1/2 furlongs.

4 (post 3). Made to Fit (Santana/J. Cox) 8-1, 117

1a (post 8). Candy for Three (Cohen/Diodoro) 3-1, 117

8 (post 9). Preacher Time (Sanjur/Puhl) 10-1, 117

3 (post 2). Sammy Wonder Stone (Cabrera/Ortiz) 12-1,

117

2 (post 1). Cash for the Soul (Eramia/Milligan) 4-1, 117

5 (post 4). Zimmerman (J. Bridgmohan/Mason) 6-1, 119

6 (post 5). Duke of Kent (I. Rodriguez/Lozano) 15-1, 117

1 (post 6) After Hours (Cohen/Broberg) 3-1, 117

7 (post 7). Tiz Funny (Court/Barkley) 20-1, 117

9 (post 10). Guatemala City (Fuentes/McKnight) 5-1, xx-115

10 (post 11). *Greeleys Charm (Canchari/Morse)8-1, 117 Made to Fit gave even effort in fast $6,250 starter allowance won by Googleado Feb. 3. Trainer John Cox gets leading rider Ricardo Santana Jr. Candy for Three drops for Robertino Diodoro off $16,000 claim at Turf Paradise Dec. 3 but offers no value with Karl Broberg-trained After Hours coupled for wagering purposes. Preacher Time exits well-run $20,000 claimer Jan. 27 from which winner came back to win for $30,000 Friday. Sammy Wonder

Stone has more natural speed than late-charging Zimmerman, thus gets nod for fourth, although both should be included in trifecta and superfecta wagers. Seventh race, 4:14 p.m.: Purse $79,000, fillies and mares

4-year-olds and up, non-winners of three races, allowance/x-claiming $62,500, six furlongs.

1. x-Summer’s Indy (McMahon/Broberg) 2-1, 124

4. x-Pretty Greeley (Morales/Ortiz) 6-1, 120

3. Bixby Lou (F. De La Cruz/B. Cox) 5-2, 120

6. x-Dance Proposal (Vazquez/Villafranco) 4-1, 120

2. x-Jackson Hill (Birzer/K. Smith) 12-1, 117

5. x-Barbary Hall (Eramia/Milligan) 9-2, 120

7. x-I’ll Take It All (Elliott/Forster) 15-1, 117 Summer’s Indy should be closer to pace than when second at 7-1 in swiftly run race here nine days ago. Pretty

Greeley, coming off Claiming Crown sprint-turf attempt at Gulfstream Park Dec. 1, is reunited with jockey Edgar Morales, who rode mare to four victories last season.

Bixby Lou has done best work on turf and hasn’t run well in two attempts on wet tracks. Represents trainer Brad Cox for first time and show eight works since last race.

Dance Proposal is well spotted off four-month rest but note that she’s done best work with benefit of anti-inflammatory medication Butazolidin in Iowa. Eighth race, 4:42 p.m.: Purse $80,000, 4-year-olds and up, non-winners of $15,000 three times other than maiden, claiming, starter or state bred OR non-winners of a race other than maiden, claiming, starter or state bred since Aug. 10, allowance, one mile.

8. High North (F. De La Cruz/B. Cox) 9-2, 117

6. C Z Rocket (Santana/Stall) 5-2, 117

5. Heavy Roller (Cabrera/Sharp) 15-1, 122

2. Malibu Max (Loveberry/Robertson) 10-1, 117

1. Limation (Vazquez/Asmussen) 15-1, 117

3. Adulator (Cohen/Diodoro) 8-1, 117

4. Colonelsdarktemper (Court/Fires) 6-1, 117

7. Exclamation Point (Bravo/B. Cox) 5-1, 117

9. Shotgun Kowboy (Eramia/Trout) 4-1, 117 High North has been productive since blinkers added before victory in Oaklawn’s Northern Spur last season. Should benefit from presence of early speed to his inside and outside. C Z Rocket makes two-turn debut for Al Stall after seventh-place finish as favorite in Thanksgiving Day Handicap at Fair Grounds. Both of his one-mile attempts came around one turn at Churchill. Heavy Roller does fine when wrangled back off pace, giving jockey David Cabrera options in a race filled with early speed.

Malibu Max ran sixth in last year’s Grade 2 Oaklawn Handicap, which featured Grade 1 winners City of Light and Acclerate. Limation, last year’s Grade 3 Super Derby winner at Louisiana Downs, will have to go hard from rail. Shotgun Kowboy, winner of $1.3 million, will have to outrun three or four others to lead from extreme outside. Colonelsdarktemper is another who likes to be on or near lead. Ninth race, 5:10 p.m.: Purse $77,000, maiden fillies 3-yearolds, one mile.

8 (post 8). Paradise Bay (Santana/Asmussen) 8-1, 120

12 (post 11). She’s a Truckin (McMahon/Cates)12-1, 120

7 (post 7). Sundaysatthebeach (Vazquez/Walsh)5-1, 120

6 (post 6). Kid Sis (I. Rodriguez/Moquett) 8-1, 120

1 (post 1). Helena (F. De La Cruz/B. Cox) 6-1, 120

2 (post 2). Cairo Cutie (Morales/Gorder) 8-1, 120

3 (post 3). Blessed Again (Cohen/Prather) 9-2, 120

4 (post 4). Ultimate Mo (Cabrera/Lukas) 4-1, 120

5 (post 5). Adari (Birzer/Chleborad) 10-1, 120

10 (post 9). A.P. Princess (Borel/Fires) 30-1, 120

11 (post 10). Palace Princess (Hill/Peitz) 20-1, 120 Paradise Bay, half sister to $795,045 earner and graded stakes winner Paradise Woods, showed speed in debut and takes second trip around two turns for Steve Asmussen. Hall of Famer went six of 20 with route runners through eight day of racing. She’s a Truckin, sired by Belmont Stakes winner Lemon Drop Kid, is half-sister to Grade 3-winning router Sheza Smoke Show. Sundaysatthebeach, another shipping from Fair Grounds, represents Brendan Walsh, whose only other Oaklawn starter won an allowance race here Feb. 24, 2018. Kid Sis, half sister to Grade 1 winner Whitmore, gets blinkers for stretch-out attempt.

Late scratches: Carmelo, second race. Carolina Beach, ninth race.

Stable coupling: After Hours, Candy for Three, sixth race. Blinkers off: News Flash, third race.

Blinkers on: Kid Sis, Carolina Beach, ninth race. First-time bleeder medication: Shell Fire, Barefootbootlegger, One Man Party, fifth race.

No Lasix (eligible for bonus): Dahik, fourth race.
