Randy N. Harris, 66, of Hot Springs, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019.

He was born Sept. 11, 1952, in Hot Springs, to the late Arthur and Edith Robbins Harris.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lillie Sue Morrissey.

Randy was a much-loved teacher at Lake Hamilton Intermedia­te School for over 20 years. He will be remembered by former students and colleagues for his friendly teaching style and wonderful sense of humor. An avid reader, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworkin­g, “The Andy Griffith” show and the Beatles, but it was his family which brought him the most joy.

Cherishing his memory are his wife, Jo Nita Harris; son, Clayton Hambrick Harris (Misty), of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Allison Joy Blanchard (Justin), of Siloam Springs, Ark.; brother, Don Harris (Sarah); sister, Jolene Fleming; brother-inlaw, Jim Morrissey; grandchild­ren, McKenzie Blanchard, Madison Harris, Bailey Blanchard, Mason Harris, Maebry Harris and Tolley Blanchard; his church family at Piney Grove United Methodist Church; and more dogs than can be named.

Funeral services will be held

1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at Piney Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Gallimore officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Oma Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from

6-8 p.m. today in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at National Park Medical Center’s ICU department.
