Jana Diane Carter Williamson went to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by family and friends on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019. Jana was born Jana Diane Carter to Billy Glen and Barbara Jane Welchman Carter on April 30, 1950 in Garland, Texas.

She was a graduate of Lakeside High School class of 1976. She later attended the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le and Arkansas Tech University, Russellvil­le, Ark. where she studied Education to become a teacher. She furthered her education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, focusing on Law and Paralegal studies. Jana went on to become a paralegal for 30 years, working with different local attorneys, helping others and touching the lives of many people. She was also extremely active in the PTO at Gardner STEM Magnet school where two of her grandchild­ren attend.

She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Glen Carter and her grandmothe­r, Thadine Trammel, affectiona­tely known as “Mur”.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Jane Welchman; son and daughter-inlaw, Nathan Lynch (Jennifer Robertson) and their children, grandsons, Creed and Archer Lynch; step-granddaugh­ters, Abigail and Izabelle Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Keri Lynch and their children, Laken, Lincoln and Luke Lynch; son and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Beth Lynch and their children, Christian and Leia Lynch; sister, Lisa Works and nephew, Aaron Works

She is also survived by her sweet and loving, long-time friends; Robin Foster, Christy Beaty and Mike Foster.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Robin Foster and Mike Foster for taking Jana into their home to care for her during this difficult time and thank you Robin and Christy for taking such amazing and loving care of her, staying by her side in her final days. Special thank you to Kindred Hospice Care for all the help they extended to Jana and her family.

Jana was a caring and loving daughter, sister, mother and an amazing friend. She will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society for Cancer research.

A Celebratio­n of Life Ceremony will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Hot Springs at 10 a.m.
