New Splash Wine Bar and Chrysalis Day Spa to open soon

-

Massage and a merlot? Or how about a pinot with your paraffin? The options will be endless at the new Splash Wine Bar and Chrysalis Day Spa, opening soon in downtown Hot Springs. Local entrepreneur Cathy Caver, who owns Chrysalis Day Spa, is excited to be offering a second location in the heart of the city she loves so much.

“I love Hot Springs, and it’s people. This is the Spa City, and I am excited to be able to expand my spa business to a second location, in a historic part of the city. And adding the wine bar adjacent to the spa is going to be the icing on the cake, ” says Caver, who has been successful in the spa business for 14 years. “This really has been so fun to put together. It has been a labor of love. I get to combine the things I love the most, and offer it to the city I love to serve.”

Caver says the spa and wine bar will be approximately 6,000 square feet and will be located in the 300 block of Ouachita Avenue just next to Barrels Unlimited, which is owned by Randy Fale and Dr. John Brunner. The building was originally built in 1903 and first opened as a tile and plumbing store.

“The building is a total remodel from top to bottom. But we are excited to be able to maintain the nostalgia of the building by keeping the original pressed-tin ceilings, and exposing the brick,” Caver said.

Chrysalis Day Spa has been a local leader in pampering and rejuvenation. Like the existing location, the new Chrysalis will also offer a varied range of treatments. From rejuvenating massages and body treatments to deep cleansing facials, Chrysalis Day Spa and Splash Wine Bar together will offer the perfect environment where locals and visitors alike can de-stress and pamper themselves, or simply relax with a glass of good wine. The new historic downtown location will also offer a sauna, and a limited amount of medical spa services, like injectables and microneedle treatments.

“I am so fortunate to be bringing our services and our talented team to this second location. The idea has been so well-received by the community and I can’t wait until we finish.” The original Chrysalis, located at 4332 Central Ave., will also continue to operate in its existing location.

While the new spa is expected to be open by summer, Caver hopes to have to wine bar open by the end of March. The wine bar will offer its own private label of wine, and customers will also have the ability to make their own wine. Appetizers and a limited menu will also be offered.

“We think this will be great place to be for a girls night out, a bachelorette party, or even a date night.” Caver says she has been doing a lot of research and is bringing the best of all the ideas back to Hot Springs.

“We have found such an incredible historic home for this new venture. The community has been so embracing to our ideas and business. We have a sense of responsibility to give back with a really great place to relax or be pampered.”

And anyone can raise a glass to that.
