Maximillan Michael Boyce, “Mighty Max,” 10, of Hot Springs passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was born Oct.

10, 2008, in Hot Springs, Ark. He was proud to be a student at Lake Hamilton School, where he was loved by his teachers, staff members and students. On May

1, 2019, Max was made an honorary officer of the Hot Springs Fire Department and Hot Springs Police Department, as well as an Arkansas State Trooper. It was Max’s dream to one day enlist into the United States Army. It was his ambition to become a Military Police Officer. On April

6, 2018, the United States Army honored Max’s wishes by presenting him with a certificat­e of enlistment making him a Private First Class. They commended him for his bravery and commitment to national defense.

Max’s unwavering faith to serve God was an inspiratio­n to people all over the world. While on hospice, his last wish was to attend a church service at One Refuge in Hot Springs, while it was his first service, it wasn’t his last!

Maximillan is survived by his parents, Mark and Monique Huseby; his birth father, Maximillan G. Boyce; grandparen­ts, Linda Boyce, John Hodges and fiancé Sandra Robinson, and Beth Hodges; sisters, Layla and Lily Simpson, and Mercedes Boyce; brothers, Larry and Alex Boyce, and Liam Rhoden; niece; Averly Skie Solano; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Celebratio­n of Mighty Max’s life will be held at noon Tuesday, July 9, at Lake Hamilton High School Auditorium with Pastor Josh Harper officiatin­g.
