Hot Springs police investigate another fatal shooting
One killed in shooting described as ‘domestic violence incident’
A local man was shot and killed early Tuesday at his residence on Carla Circle in what Hot Springs police are describing as “a domestic violence incident.”
“Officers responded to the residence at 101 Carla Circle at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting and found a deceased white male later identified as Christopher Brock, 24, inside the house where he lived with other family members,” Police Chief Jason Stachey told The Sentinel-Record.
“Detectives interviewed witnesses and all the parties involved in the incident and began collecting evidence,” he said.
“We’re not looking for anyone else,” Stachey said. “We have determined this was a case of domestic violence between the family members.”
Stachey said the prosecuting attorney’s office are reviewing the facts of the incident and even visited the scene and “upon their recommendation, we will be submitting a case file for them to review to determine if any charges will be brought forth in this case.”
“All the parties are accounted for,” Assistant Police Chief Walt Everton said. “Now it’s up to the prosecutor’s office if any charges are to be filed.”
An unidentified neighbor told The Sentinel-Record at the scene that he had often heard two of the family members who lived at the residence “fighting a lot” and “yelling at each other.”
Carla Circle is located off Winans Avenue, between the areas of Golf Links and Shady Grove roads.
