Clear Creek Gardener

-

Clear Creek Gardener is an independent and locally owned garden center with a greenhouse and acres of plants located on a scenic farmstead at 1923 Mountain Pine Road, right at the Clear Creek bridge.

They carry a wide variety of plants that are suitable for Arkansas gardens and homes. Their inventory includes native and adapted perennials, flowering and evergreen shrubs, trees, cacti and succulents, annuals, and seasonal vegetables.

Molly Baldwin has a degree in horticulture plus 25 years of experience in the nursery trade. She loves advising homeowners on plants, helping customers choose the right location for the perfect plant, as well as identifying plant problems. Many of their annual and perennial plants are started from heirloom seeds and grown in their greenhouse.

Roger Baldwin, former Navy Seabee and surveyor, designs unique landscapes that can include water features, goldfish ponds, landscape lighting, and elaborate rock work. Clear Creek Gardener’s stonemasons are unmatched in quality when designing and building stone steps, rock walls, and flagstone patios. With their extensive knowledge and hands-on experience, they can assist you so that you and your garden will have a successful relationship.

A visit to Clear Creek Gardener is a bucolic experience. There are three farm dogs, heritage breed chickens, a turkey named Kentucky, and quacking ducks frolicking around a pond with a waterfall and a school of goldfish. Their demonstration gardens show off mature specimens of many of the plants that they sell. In addition to all of your plant needs, you can pick up a dozen farm fresh eggs and purchase hand-painted watercolor greeting cards.

For a small sample of what Clear Creek Gardener has to offer, visit their booth at the Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market on Saturdays.
