Thermal water service to shut down for repairs
Thermal water service will be temporarily interrupted to repair a main waterline on Bathhouse Row, the National Park Service said Monday in a news release.
The thermal water jug fountains on Reserve Street and at Hill Wheatley Plaza will be turned off Wednesday and Thursday to allow park staff to make needed repairs. Water service will resume on Friday.
The Happy Hollow and Whittington Avenue cold spring fountains will remain open.
CDAC to meet Thursday to discuss CBDG funding
The Community Development Advisory Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the board chambers at City Hall, 133 Convention Blvd.
Precautions will be taken to abide by social distancing guidelines and to limit the number of people in the board chambers at one time.
Items of discussion will include the evaluation of new information regarding public safety and the need for the $52,000 proposal to replace the asphalt walking trail at Baseball Trail Park with concrete and for $40,080 for Chelsea Street sidewalks.
It will also discuss a substantial amendment to prior Annual Action Plans to reallocate $14,395.14 in unspent Community Development Block Grant funds from under-budget and canceled projects to provide public services in response to the coronavirus subject to Ordinance 6323.
