Trespassers arrested on felony drug charges

- STEVEN MROSS

A check on some alleged trespassers late Friday led to the arrest of a Pearcy woman and two Hot Springs men on multiple felony drug charges.

Jeanna Nicole Roark, 22, who lists an Aldridge Road address, Noah Lynn Smith, 29, who lists a Brookhill Ranch Trail address, and Logan Allen Lammers, 26, who lists an Apple Blossom Place address,

were all taken into custody at around 11 p.m. Friday and each charged with possession of a controlled substance, meth, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, each punishable by up to six years in prison.

All three were initially held on a $7,500 bond over the weekend and each remained in custody Monday in lieu of bonds set at $2,500. All three were set to appear via video Monday afternoon in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavits, shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday, Hot Springs police Cpl. Kenny May responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Higdon Ferry Road after the property owner called to report several people outside the residence “who did not have permission to be there.”

Officers arrived and located three people, identified as Roark, Smith and Lammers, who were in the driveway of the residence “in or about” a white 2006 Nissan Maxima. Officers made contact with the property owner again, identifying the three people, and he confirmed none of the people should be there.

A computer check showed Smith was a parolee with an active search waiver on file.

Smith was previously arrested on Nov. 21, 2017, and plead guilty on Feb. 26, 2018, to a felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Roark was also previously arrested on July 13, 2019, on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, ecstasy, with purpose to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, oxycodone, with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. She pleaded guilty to the charges on March 16, 2020, and was sentenced to six years’ probation.

Smith told officers the vehicle belonged to him so it was searched and officers reportedly located a black zipper pouch with numerous syringes and a red plastic case containing a set of digital scales with “a large amount of residue” on them and a baggie with 0.9 gram of what later tested positive for meth.

After being read their rights, none of the three claimed the meth or paraphernalia and could not even agree on who was driving the car so they were all arrested. After she was taken into custody, another baggie with 0.7 gram of meth was reportedly found in the back of Roark’s pants.
