Location acquired for new restaurant at Central Avenue, Section Line Road
An intermediary affiliated with David’s Burgers acquired a 1.50acre parcel in the 3800 block of Central Avenue, according to a deed recorded Monday.
First Church of the Nazarene sold the land for $475,000, splitting it from the church’s main parcel. The Hot Springs Planning Commission approved the lot split in September, and the city’s planning and development department said the final plat for the new lot has been completed. According to planning documents, a
12,332-square-foot building would go on the parcel, with the church and building sharing the existing Central Avenue driveway.
Parking would be behind the building.
“We plan on building a 13,000-square-foot strip center,” Alex Bennett, vice president of real estate and development for David’s Burgers and Anchor Realty Investments LLC, said Wednesday. “David’s Burgers would operate from the end cap. The other spaces will be for retail, medical, dental, etc.”
“We’re getting ready to bid our plans out to a set of contractors we normally work with. We’re hoping to get started on site work within the next month.”
Bennett said the restaurant would occupy about 3,000 square feet. An opening date has yet to be determined.
The Hot Springs location would join about 10 other stores across central Arkansas, including locations in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Cabot, Conway and Bryant.
According to the company’s website, David’s Burgers pays homage to butcher shops of the 1950s and ’60s. The nostalgia-themed restaurants feature butcher cases displaying meat cut and ground daily for hamburgers and other offerings.
