Jeffery L. Weston

Jeffery Lynn Weston, 62, of Hot Springs, went to meet his savior on April 20, 2020.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his loving parents, J.L. and Laura Weston, who also served as his lifetime caregivers until their passing. Although Jeff struggled with mental illness throughout his time on this earth, he was a man of God that loved and leaned on Jesus immensely. Their meeting, the reunion with his parents, and the healing and restoration that has taken place upon his arrival is an incomprehensible joy that our family’s hearts celebrate.

Jeff was a proud member of the 4-H Club and the Boy Scouts of America as a young man and greatly enjoyed these activities. He also loved to accompany his father to the farm and assist in farming cattle. Jeff loved all things radio and enjoyed using his CB and HAM radios, multiple scanners and incredible collection of AM/FM devices and players. Jeff had an exceptional and diverse collection of music and spent much of his days enjoying his favorite songs. He had a knack for maps and could easily free hand the state of Arkansas county by county. Jeff loved his country, loved Arkansas and loved the Razorbacks. He enjoyed collecting flags and watching them fly proudly outside his window. He relished in birthdays and the holidays, the decorations, gifts and all that they bring.

He loved his family with all of his heart and soul, and took pride in being an uncle to his nieces, great-niece, and great-nephews. Jeff had a deep desire for a meaningful life and strove to achieve that in every way that he could.

Jeffery is survived by his sister, Donna (Mickey) Plyler; his nieces, Miranda (Eric) Redman, Mikia (Gaylon) Kilcrease, Micah (Jeremy) Diggs; great-nephews, Plyler Oseguera and Judah Diggs; great-niece, Shelby Kilcrease; his beloved caregivers, Amber Abernathy, Michelle Halley, Misty Lewis and multiple staff members of The Pines, who gave Jeff the gift of community, care and friendship.

The family will hold a private graveside service. Pallbearers include Mickey Plyler, Eric Redman, Plyler Oseguera, Jeremy Diggs, Teddy Short and David Barentine.
