Toastmasters to hold meeting online Saturday
Hot Springs Toastmasters will hold its weekly club meeting online at 8 a.m. Saturday, instead of its usual meeting location at National Park Medical Center.
“When that meeting format might change is unclear at this time,” a news release said.
The semiannual speech contest series, this time for International Speech and Evaluation contests, continues with the Division A contests scheduled for April 2, also online, instead of being held in Little Rock. The contests series will continue to the district conference, which will now be online in June. It was originally scheduled for April 24-25 in Hot Springs.
Toastmasters is a supportive, inexpensive way to learn speaking and leadership skills. Training resources for speechmaking are part of Toastmasters support available to members. Toastmasters International’s materials and programs also offer leadership development. New members are offered mentoring, either assigned or a chosen match. Meeting roles rotate from one week to the next.
There is no charge to see what the club is about. Meetings normally are one hour long. For more information, visit the club website, with contact options, at https://7643.toastmastersclubs.org/, or call 501-6174777 or 501-262-1664. The club can also be contacted via the “find a club” option on the Toastmasters International website, https://www.toastmasters.org/.
The online meeting is not accessible through either website.
