Mary M. H. Ward

-

Mary Margaret Hibbs Ward, born Oct. 24, 1952, was called home on May 1, 2020. Patiently awaiting her arrival in Heaven were her daughters, Nancy and Melissa Ward; her parents, Reuel and Lila Phillips Hibbs; and her brothers, R.W., Warren and Oscar Hibbs.

Mary was a native of Hot Springs, Ark., where her legacy of love and generosity lives on in the hearts of her family: her son, Wayne Ward; her sisters, Joyce Garrett, Linda Hughes (Michael), Karen Hansen, Grace Rios and Esther Hansen; her brother, Christopher Hibbs (Judy); 24 nieces and nephews; 44 great-nieces and nephews; and 29 great-great nieces and nephews.

Mary will be remembered fondly for her feisty sense of humor, but, most of all, she will be remembered for her gracious heart. She was the type of person who would share what little she had with anyone in need. When Mary loved, she “loved big,” and her devotion to her family knew no bounds. Though she never had any biological grandchildren, she was “Mimi” and “Memaw Mary” to her adoring great and great-great nieces and nephews. Although her absence leaves a void that will never be filled here on Earth, her family and friends find comfort in knowing that she is free from any pain or suffering and is resting in the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ.

Mary will be inurned at Shiloh Cemetery in Jessieville, Ark. Due to current public health concerns, there will not be a public memorial.

Guest registry is at https:// www.carriganmemorial.com.

Arrangements are entrusted to Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services.
