Trump needs to go

-

Dear editor:

If current favorability polls are accurate, Donald Trump’s favorability rating is only around 40% while his unfavorability rating remains at close to 53%. This is an average of several polls, none of which has Trump with a majority of voters favoring his presidency. I realize that this is probably not a reflection of Arkansas voters, who seem to continue to be supporters of this strange man. It remains a mystery to me to understand why any reasonable person would support this narcissistic and paranoid man.

I did run across a poll a week or so ago that indicated that even Arkansas voters had begun to wake up concerning DJT, saying that many were beginning to withdraw their support and that the independent voters of the state had begun to view him negatively.

The big Oklahoma rally held Saturday (June 20) had a much lower turnout than the big man expected. Many seats were vacant, apparently a result never-before true for one of his rallies; nevertheless, if we listen to his reports of such events, the numbers are normally inflated over the true statistic, so who knows?

Perhaps the blinders are off! My hope is that we can eventually add DJT to the list of one-term presidents. Those of us who view him without rose-colored glasses see the damage he has done to the nation in the short three and a half years he has held this prestigious position. Being president of the most affluent and forward-looking nation in the world used to be a singular honor for those prominent souls who had all the right qualifications. This bumbling buffoon who occupies the White House today is a blight on America. Who can point to him with pride and say, “He leads our country with wise reasoning and moral judgment?” When has he ever made a decision because it was for the good of the governed? He has only one person in mind when he issues edicts: Donald J. Trump.

I know this letter is defamatory toward our elected (questionably) president, and I apologize to those who are offended by my words, but I stand firmly by what I feel. Donald Trump is not representative of the best of America. He needs to go!
