Jamie Carol (Jones) Hathcoat, 55, of Hot Springs, formerly of McCrory, died Saturday, July 11, 2020.

She was born April 5, 1965, in Searcy, Ark. Jamie was a

1983 graduate of McCrory High School and furthered her education at Henderson State University, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught at several Arkansas schools, including Crossgate Academy, Magnet Cove Middle School and Arkadelphi­a High School.

Jamie was a very talented musician and music lover, and enjoyed playing the piano and flute. She enjoyed old traditiona­l hymns, antiques and loved M&M’s, family gatherings and her faithful companion, Bailey. She was a faithful Christian lady who loved her Lord and was a longtime member of the Grays Apostolic Christian Church before moving.

She is survived by her son, Jim Breckenrid­ge, of Hot Springs; parents, Don and Betty Jo Jones, of Hot Springs; sisters, Angie Donley (Albert), of Hot Springs, and Lori Duncan (Mitch), of Springdale; grandson, Braxton Breckenrid­ge, of Hot Springs; nieces and nephews, Alexa Cox and Autumn Donley Lee, both of Conway, Tyler Duncan, of Bella Vista, and Sam Duncan, of Fayettevil­le.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Grays Apostolic Christian Church with Brother Rick Forbis and Brother Ronnie Reddell officiatin­g. The visitation will be held prior to the services, beginning at

1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Fakes Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County, http://www.powellfune­ralhome.net.
