Arvest Bank promotes George to VP

Arvest Bank recently announced that it has promoted Celia George to vice president, mortgage lending supervisor in the Southwest Arkansas market.

As vice president, mortgage lending supervisor, George will oversee the mortgage lending department in Southwest Arkansas to ensure that customer needs are met. She will also oversee all processes and procedures and assist with reviewing loan applicatio­ns and closing loans, a news release said.

“I love this organizati­on and what it has to offer — not only to its customers, but its associates as well,” George said in the release. “I believe strongly in Arvest’s commitment, vision, and mission and hope to further align myself with its core values by serving as VP, mortgage loan supervisor for the southwest market.”

George brings 17 years of banking experience to her new role. Since 2006, she has held six different positions within Arvest Bank, including teller, deposit counselor, consumer loan assistant, mortgage loan assistant and assistant branch manager. In her 14 years at Arvest, she has earned multiple awards for top production and referral sales.

“I have been lucky enough to work with Celia. Her talent and experience are unmatched, and our customers know they have a true advocate when they work with her,” Franklin Bass, community bank president of Arvest Bank in Hot Springs, said in the release. “She has a passion for Arvest and its values, and we are thrilled to see her take the next big step in her already impressive career path.”

George is a Hot Springs native and graduated from the Fountain Lake School District. She attended National Park College.

“George is a dedicated advocate for the Hot Springs community. She has serves as an ambassador for the Chambers of Commerce for both Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village. George was recognized as an AY Magazine Intriguing Woman in 2019,” the release said.
