Gallery Walk features in-person, virtual options today
Hot Springs’ fine art galleries are offering both in-person and virtual offerings for today’s Gallery Walk from 5-8 p.m., according to the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance and news releases from different gallery owners.
Anyone who attends Gallery Walk in person is asked to practice social distancing, wear a mask and wash their hands, according to the cultural alliance.
All Things Arkansas
610 Central Ave.
Featuring art and products from Arkansas, made in Arkansas, and relating to Arkansas. Offering wine and refreshments, with live entertainment by Ben Carey.
American Art Gallery and Gifts LLC
724 Central Ave.
American Art Gallery and Gifts will feature new watercolor work by Carole Beam and wall artist acrylic work by Jimmy Leach and Ellen Schumacher.
Valerie Hanks-Goetz will have new pine needle basket work and horsetail pottery.
“Valerie’s passion to find art in unusual places has grown from the Muskogee belief that everything has a purpose,” a news release said.
“To see a smile when looking at the work I created with my hands is a great compliment,” she said.
Ernie Bolieu will be present to discuss design and stones in various Southwest Jewelry.
Artists’ Workshop Gallery
610-A Central Ave.
June Lamoureux and Jan Briggs will be the featured artists for August at Artists’ Workshop Gallery. Lamoureux is a longtime professional artist who moved to Hot Springs Village from Connecticut in 2011. Briggs, having married a Hot Springs native, has been a resident of the city for over 40 years.
The featured miniature artists for August are Briggs and Caren Garner.
The gallery continues to maintain limited hours due to COVID-19. It is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
The gallery will not be participating in Friday’s live Gallery Walk; its virtual gallery, featuring the works of all its artists, is available on Facebook.

A selection of paintings and sculptures by Elizabeth Weber will be featured during the August exhibit through Aug. 29.
The August exhibit will also include works by Michael Ashley, Kristin DeGeorge, Robyn Horn, Tony Saladino, Sandra Sell, Gene Sparling and Emily Wood. The show will open with a reception from 5-8 p.m. today. Due to COVID-19 precautions, no refreshments will be served during the opening. Attendees are asked to wear masks and to maintain the recommended social distancing during the opening.
Justus Fine Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday and by appointment.

Whittington Gallery and Studios

The Whittington Gallery and Studios will present a unique collaborative exhibit during August, featuring artist June Lamoureux and artographer Ken Haley, both of Hot Springs Village.
The exhibit will involve creative digital re-workings by Haley of original paintings by Lamoureux, and some of his images that are re-purposed into paintings by Lamoureux. His images will be displayed as gicleé prints on canvas alongside her original artwork. The exhibit will be located in the Lauren Knowles Annex in the rear of the gallery.
