Gallery Walk underway tonight in downtown HS
Hot Springs Gallery Walk, hosted by the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance, will be held from 5-9 p.m. today at various fine art galleries and studio spaces downtown and online.
Anyone attending Gallery Walk in person is asked to remember to social distance, wear a mask, and practice hand washing.

American Art Gallery 724 Central Ave.
American Art Gallery will feature Claude Lambert, who will discuss his new knives. The gallery is also offering Valerie Hanks-Goetz pottery and pine needle baskets, “which are just the right things for your handmade gift list this year, or even wood turnings by Virgil Barksdale and gourds by Rick Carter,” a news release said.
Ernie Bolieu will talk about his jewelry, with Southwest jewelry by other artists.
Limited edition and open edition prints will be available from various artists, as well as original art by Margaret Kipp, Jimmy Leach, Carole Beam, Ellen Schumacher and Patricia Bailey.

Artists’ Workshop Gallery has named Linda Shearer and Dianne Morgan as December’s Featured Artists.
Shearer, a Hot Springs Village resident, is an accomplished artist in Chinese brush painting, as well as many other art genres, a news release said.
A native of Arkansas, Morgan said in the release that she is inspired by the “natural glory that God has placed around us.” She is also a resident of Hot Springs Village.
Miniature artists for December are Linda Shearer and Tom Seaman.
Artists’ Workshop Gallery’s limited hours due to COVID-19 are Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Its virtual Gallery Walk is available on Facebook and YouTube, featuring the works of all their artists.
Justus Fine Art Gallery 827-A Central Ave.
The holiday exhibit at Justus Fine Art Gallery will feature a selection of works by Michael Ashley, Beverly Buys, Donnie Copeland, Mia Hall, Matthew Hasty, Jeri Hillis, Robyn Horn, Dolores Justus, John Lasater, Linda Palmer, Sammy Peters, Tony Saladino, Sandra Sell, Gene Sparling, Dan Thornhill, and Elizabeth Weber.
The show will open with a reception from 5-9 p.m. today as part of Gallery Walk. Due to COVID precautions, guests are asked to wear masks while in the gallery. The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 31.
“An outstanding selection of original paintings will be featured during the exhibit, along with wood sculptures by Robyn Horn and Sandra Sell,” a news release said. Wood-turned vessels by Gene Sparling will also be highlighted, with a selection of new ceramics by Michael Ashley. Original jewelry by Amanda Heinbockel, Amy Wells, and others will also be on display.
Owned by artist Dolores Justus, the gallery offers a wide range of original art including sculpture, paintings, ceramics, and photography by recognized artists.
