ALEXANDER — Edith Dortha Dickson ran into heaven on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at 8:38 p.m. and is walking on streets of gold now and forevermore.

Her final wishes were to join Jesus from the lake house that she loved on Lake Norrell and those wishes were able to be honored with the help from Pleasant Hill Adult Care Services, Elite Home Health and Saline Memorial Hospice. She was blessed with many caregivers along her journey who gave all their best care and compassion. A special thanks to Dr. Mego and the entire team at Arkansas Heart Hospital who took excellent care of her many times.

She was the widow of Clyde Edward Dickson of Mountain Valley, Ark. They shared 61 years of marriage together. Dortha was born in Jessieville, Ark., and was the daughter of John McEarl and Minnie Carpenter McEarl. She was a lifelong devoted wife, mother, child of God and caregiver to her husband and family, and she was “Momma” to all who knew and loved her.

She was a devoted member of Mountain Valley Baptist Church and was cared for by her daughter Jeanie until moving to Lake Norrell, Alexander, Ark., to live with her daughter Melinda and became a cherished attendee of CenterPoint Church in Benton, Ark. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her unmatched beauty for nearly a

90-year-old, and her unwavering faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All who knew her, knew her to be a daily prayer warrior who could often be heard praying out loud for hours thanking God for the big things like her family and the little things like the grass, birds and flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Doris Jean Fason and Melinda Dickson; grandchildren, Matthew Dickson, Luke Dickson, Laci Dickson, Mandy Fason, John ( Bo) Fason, Brad Fason, Zack Beutelschies and Kenton Polk; 11 great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and beloved family friend, John Feier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dickson; her parents, John and Minnie McEarl; three sisters and one brother; her sons, Freddie and Terry Dickson; her grandchildren, Adam Dickson, Sarah Polk, and Kyle Polk; and great-grandson, Tyler Dickson.

Dortha will be lying in state from 11 a. m. to noon Saturday at Caruth Village Funeral Home for those who are unable to attend the graveside service, which will be held at
