Laverne Bailey

Laverne “Nanny” Bailey, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 12,

2020.

Laverne was born on April 7, 1943, in Hot Springs, the daughter of John Franklin Breshears and Mary Lucille Spears Breshears. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Marvin “Paw” Bailey; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Lewis Neighbors; three brothers, Monroe Breshears, Ervin Breshears and Marlon Breshears; her nephew, James Breshears; and her niece, Tracy Neighbors.

Laverne was a Christian in her faith and a member of the Community Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mom, nanny, sister, aunt and friend that will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her four sons and three daughters-inlaw, Tony Bailey, Mark and Michelle Bailey, Keith and Missi Bailey and Tim and Eticia Bailey; her daughter and son-inlaw, Kelly and Jimmy Helton;

13 grandchildren and spouses, Andy and Danielle Bailey, Nikki Bailey, Whitney Bailey, Candace and William Watkins, Jeremy and Jordan Bailey, Jessica Bailey, Cassie Bailey, Keri and Jesus Reyes, Ashley Bailey, Brian Bailey, Sidney Bailey, Courtney Helton, and Bailey Helton; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gerald Breshears; her sister and brother- in- law, Marilyn and Rob Rostan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, with Brother Lee Davis officiating in the Community Baptist Church, Hot Springs Village.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Tony Bailey, Mark Bailey, Keith Bailey, Tim Bailey, Jimmy Helton, Andy Bailey, Jeremy Bailey and Brian Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers are NPMC ICU nurses and staff, Rob Rostan, Mike Davis, Ron Coleman, Andrew Davis, Kevin Coleman and Pat Hayley.
