Sylvia Elizabeth-Ann Goodman, age 45, died peacefully in the arms of her husband on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sylvia was born on June 10, 1975, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Arthor Jackson Lane and Barbara Jean Wood Lane. She is predecease­d by her father; her ex-husband, Charles Bibb; and her sister, Tammy Lane.

Sylvia retired from McDonald’s after 25 years where she made many life- long friends. She was happily married to the love of her life, Nathan Goodman, for 12 years at the time of her death. Sylvia loved working puzzles, paint by numbers pictures, animals, and gardening. She was a loving wife, mom, nanny, sister, aunt and friend, that will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan Goodman; two daughters and sons- in- law, Cynthia and Paul Valdovinos and Sarah Bibb and Adam Zaborowski; five grandchild­ren, Lillian, Emily, Isaiah, Kylie and Nevach, all of Hot Springs; her mother, Barbara Wood, of Malvern; her brother, James Lane, of Hot Springs; her sister and brother-in-law, Angel and Ron Cooper, of Hot Springs Village; numerous nieces; nephews; extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, with Pastor Wayne Murphree officiatin­g, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be at 5-7 p.m. Monday in the chapel.

Social distancing directives will be in place with 66% capacity in chapel and face covering must be worn.

Pallbearer­s will be Nathan Goodman, Adam Zaborowski, Jacob Willis, Paul Valdovinos, Karl Shelton and Kelley Ryals.

Honorary pallbearer is Billy Willcutt.
