William Hogue

William “Spud” Hogue began on Nov. 28, 1957, in Hot Springs, Ark. He was born to the late Myrtle Hogue and Frederick Hogue. He passed away on Dec. 20, 2020.

He was an employee of Lakeside School District and The Sentinel-Record.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Hogue; his father, Frederick Hogue; and his two sons, Tarea Haywood and Eston Hogue.

Memories of Spud will forever be etched in the heart of his son, Marcus Lyons (Markita) of Woodbridge, Va.; his daughters, LaRita Coleman (Marcus) of Arlington Texas, NaTisha Haywood-Osborn of Hot Springs, Ark., Faith Hogue of Wynne, Ark.; his stepson, Malcolm Williams of Wynne, Ark.; his sister, Elizabeth Ann Watson of Hot Springs, Ark.; his grandchild­ren, Tarianna Haywood, Dante Haywood, Keontia Haywood, Harlem Lyons, Kenadie Lyons, Brunston Lyons, Tarea and Eston Hogue; his great-grandchild, Ma’Kinsley Loudermilk; and a host of nieces and nephews.

William is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelmi­ng obstacles. You have faced many challenges in life and I have witnessed you fight through every challenge.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Dec. 24, 2020, at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services.

Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at Roanoke Baptist Church.
