Earl D. “Wayne” Terry, age

71, passed away on Friday, Dec.

25, 2020.

Wayne was born on February 21, 1949, in Martinez, Calif., the son of Earl R. Terry and Lucy Nadine Linzy Terry. On November 17, 1967, he married Sandra Hampton. He is preceded in death by his parents; three grandchild­ren, Seth Carter, Tyler Carter, and Gavin Banker; and three lifelong friends, Randy Story, Ronnie Story, and Ricky Schales.

He was Baptist in his faith. He loved racing of all kinds but especially drag racing. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was giving golf cart rides to his great-grandchild­ren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Terry of Hot Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Hollie and Ray Carter of Pearcy, and Amy and Dayne Banker of Mountain Pine; one grandson, Braydon Carter of St. Louis, Mo.; one granddaugh­ter and spouse, Kailee and Dakota Veazey of Hot Springs; three great-grandchild­ren, Carter Veazey, Carrington Veazey, and Charlee Kate Veazey; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

Services Tuesday, Dec. 29,

2020, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Dewayne Mattingly officiatin­g in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment in the Rush Fork Cemetery.

Visitation Wednesday, from

6 p.m.-7 p.m. Social distancing directives will be in place with

66% capacity in chapel and face-covering must be worn.

Pallbearer­s will be Garry Berry, Doug Harper, Randy Harper, Scott Garibay, Paul Sorrell, and Jeff Smith.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Bill Terry, Phillip Lowder, Gene Robertson, Clyde Wetheringt­on, Jimmy Hampton, Jessie Bates, and Henry Wright.
