Carefully following state guidelines and under an Arkansas State Health Department approved plan, the Hot Springs Debutante Coterie presented 19 young ladies at the 75th Annual Red Rose Presentation in the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa’s Crystal Ballroom on Saturday, Dec. 19.

The ballroom was decorated with hundreds of red roses that provided a stunning backdrop for the presentation by Master of Ceremony Mr. Forrest Spicher. Music by the Clyde Pound Trio with C.E. Askew on drums, David Higginbotham on upright bass, and Clyde Pound on keyboard, accompanied the young ladies during the presentation.

Afterward, the debutantes and their families enjoyed a private candlelight dinner in the Venetian and Fountain rooms, which provided a beautiful setting adorned with bouquets of red roses and festive holiday decorations.

The previous evening, the debutantes and their escorts were treated to an elegant rehearsal dinner, also held in the Venetian Dining Room. Hostesses were Ms. Sherri Arman, Dr. Lyndsey and Mr. Michael Dolan, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dowdy, Mr. and Mrs.

This local nonprofit organization provides financial, professional and educational assistance to cancer patients and their families. All funds raised by Our Promise Cancer Resources stay in the local community — an important factor to both Our Promise and the Hot Springs Debutante Coterie. Over the past seven years, the Debutante Coterie has raised over $77,000 for Our Promise, with this year’s guests contributing over $9,000 to the grand total.
